Peter Gaudet, originally from Montrose P.E.I., obtained his B.Sc (Hon) from the University of New Bruswick with a major in Biology-Chemistry.  He is beginning an M.Sc under the co-supervision of Dr. Rick Cawthorn and Dr. Spencer Greenwood.  During his time with the AVCLSC his research will be focusing on the in vitro cultivation of Hematodinium sp., a parasitic dinoflagellate of Snow crab causing Bitter Crab Disease.  His research is part of a larger ongoing project investigating numerous aspects of Bitter Crab Disease in Snow crab.
