Eric completed a BSc with a major in biology from Dalhousie University in 2007. Following university he took a Geographic Information Systems course. He also was involved in ecological research in Kejimkujik National Park. Before starting at for the Lobster Science Centre in 2008, Eric worked for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans as a laboratory technician on off shore clams such as surf clams and propeller clams. His position at the Lobster Science Centre involves being based in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, were he will collect blood samples to monitor blood protein levels, pleopod clippings and general biological information on lobsters. He is also a member of the service team for the South West Nova area.
