AVC to lead study into snow crab parasite

[CHARLOTTETOWN, PE] - Researchers at the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI will be leading an international study into a parasite that causes what is known as Bitter Crab Disease in snow crabs. Bitter Crab Disease can do much more than leave an adverse taste in snow crabs. It can be lethal. 

The parasite is found mainly off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador but it has been recently found off the coast of Nova Scotia.
