A technical review of shell disease in lobsters was prepared for research scientists and fishery managers.  Topics covered included a description of the three forms of shell disease and the  challenges of studying shell disease (reviewing host – pathogen – environment interactions).  A ‘Monitoring and Surveillance Program of Shell Disease in Atlantic Canada Lobsters’ is underway.
